Do you want a simple, elegant podcast app that on top of the obvious features lets you easily search episodes and quickly access downloaded content? Then, you should check out Swifty Podcasts!
Does the world need another podcast app? Well, mine did so I developed one! I used to commute 3 and a half hours everyday, drive to the train station, stand on the train, take the bus, then walk a couple of blocks. That used to be a boring, quite unproductive time of my day. Couldnt really do any work because I didnt have a place to sit, reading books standing up was uncomfortable, just listening to music was sort of a way to kill time.
Then I discovered podcasts! From Fresh Air to the Tim Ferris Show, Foundation, the Moth, Freakonomics Radio, Criminal... The dreadful part of my days quickly turned into something I looked forward to. Listening to podcasts became a hobby. It became complimentary to my workouts, grocery shopping, even at home doing the dishes or folding laundry.
Why, you ask, then a new app? Well, the existing podcast apps are pretty good but lack a couple of key features that drive me nuts. I want to be able to search my feed and see all my downloaded podcasts in one place. Sounds simple, right? Well, none of the apps I looked at did it so in my free time I developed this app, completely written in Swift (thus the name), and started using it everyday, and it turned out to be a pleasantly good experience.
Now I want to share this app with you and hear your feedback. I have a ton of feature ideas and hope to build up on this project. So go ahead and check it out!
